Membership

You can become a member at any time during the year, even without attending classes and groups. Click here to download the Membership form, or call to have one mailed out. (TAS phone number : 4632 5725) More likely, you’ll want to join a class or group as well as become a member so please phone the Group Leader or Teacher for details. Their phone numbers are included in the Classes & Groups Weekly Schedule.

You must fill in the enrolment form and pay to be a financial member at Toowoomba Art Society. Membership renewal is from 1 March each year. Anybody can join in groups and classes without being a member, however they pay $6 per session rather than the $3 per session which members pay.

• As a member of TAS, you may be eligible to receive discounts on some special workshops, functions and events as well as have access to the TAS library.

Public Liability Insurance to $20M.

Eftpos is available at TAS. A $1 fee applies for anything other than Artwork Sales.

Payments by Direct Deposit:

Direct Deposit payments can be made to TAS for membership subscriptions and renewals, bus trips, workshops etc. Please note: it is important to include your name and for what the payment is being made, eg. membership renewal and/or bus trip, to ensure the payment is credited to you.

Our membership year runs from 1st March till the last day of February the following year, with payment of new or ongoing subscriptions due before the end of February.  Only those who have become financial members by May 31 are eligible to participate in the annual Members’ Exhibition held each September.

Membership fees have remained reasonable for many years. This is due to our ‘User Pays’ fee system whereby Members pay $3 per session towards light and power and general maintenance. Tea and coffee are available when using Culliford House. Non-members may join certain classes but must pay a $6 User Fee in addition to model fees and any tutorial costs.

Under the requirements of becoming a member of the Toowoomba Art Society which is a Company limited by guarantee, you agree to pay up to $10  should the Company be wound up (this being the guarantee in accordance  with the Company’s guarantee).

The Toowoomba Art Society Annual General Meeting is held in April every year.  Nomination forms to join the TAS Board of Directors are available from February.
